We are excited to announce the band playing at the party will be Larry Perigo and Target the Band. From their website, “When it comes to entertaining, 'Target the Band' brings to the stage an unequaled level of professionalism and excitement, from great song selection to big, fat 'aged to perfection' grooves and arrangements. Audiences everywhere just love them!” Target's music can range from Beach Music to R&B Classics to Country. You may hear everything from Christmas music to current chart toppers. No matter your musical taste, “you are sure to leave a Target performance knowing that you have enjoyed one of this country's most entertaining and enduring groups.”
We will have finger food choices of various sandwiches/sliders, chicken wings, pizza bites, quiche, and sausage balls, plus a few other sides. And always a favorite, The French Bakery will be making sweet and savory crepes. There will be hot drink stations as well. Desserts and cookies will be provided by the Women’s Ministry of Grace. All food is provided and free of charge.
In addition, we are partnering with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) Victims Advocacy Program for their annual Toy Drive. If you are able, please bring a new, unwrapped toy for a child aged 1 to 17 years old. (A bin will be available for you to place your donated toy.) The toys will stay locally and go to children who have lost a parent this year, witnessed a horrible incident, were the victim of a crime, etc. The biggest need is sports equipment such as footballs, basketballs, soccer balls, and baseball gloves and balls. The BCSO cannot accept money but can accept gift cards to be passed out to the families. A donation box will be available for monetary contributions. Grace will purchase gift cards from those funds. Toys not distributed to child victims will be given to The Boys and Girls Club.
We will also be selling Grace Community Church Christmas apparel. Cost of the shirts are $15 for short-sleeve T-shirts, $20 for long-sleeve T-shirts, $25 for long-sleeve hoodie T-shirts, and $30 for sweatshirt hoodies – all payable by check or cash. All proceeds will go towards purchasing “Project Lifesaver” wristbands. Project Lifesaver is a 501 (C)(3) community-based, public safety, non-profit organization that provides law enforcement, fire/rescue, and caregivers with a program designed to protect, and when necessary, quickly locate individuals with cognitive disorders who are prone to the life-threatening behavior of wandering.
Additionally, there will be a photo booth available. Have a picture taken with family and friends in your Christmas best – or better yet, in your new Grace Christmas shirt – and leave with a memory of the evening.
NEW THIS YEAR…Cake Walk and Raffle! We have several homemade cakes, baked goods, gift cards, and gift baskets that we will be giving away through the cake walk and raffle. You don’t want to miss this!
IMPORTANT: The church Christmas party is a family celebration. Please be advised that childcare services will not be available during the annual holiday party event, as we encourage our Children's Church team members to participate in the festivities. We respectfully request that parents supervise and attend to their children throughout the celebration.
